I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois in Chicago and my Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. I am happy to have returned to New England 14 years ago which is where I grew up. I am currently a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
I have over 25 years of experience working within in a variety of settings including centers for mental health, substance abuse, skilled care and nursing homes. I continue to be committed to helping others gain a sense of empowerment, overcome obstacles, find increased value in different aspects of life, and discover ways to live with greater ease through one’s increased awareness, uniqueness and truth. I use a holistic, nonjudgmental, compassionate, strength-based approach with an integration of various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psycho-education, mindfulness, expressive and play therapy, and collaboration.
I enjoy working with diverse groups of people and welcome individuals of all ages, couples, and families. My areas of focus address mood disorders, co-existing substance misuse, life transitions, relationship difficulties, marital or family concerns, self-esteem, and career dissatisifaction
Outside of work, I enjoy various forms of art, exercising, riding my motorcycle, attending live music events and festivals, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, reading, and relaxing with my cat.
